Paris - here I come!

I'm practically bursting to announce this to everyone - I'm going to Paris! :D

In 3 weeks and 2 days no less - for a 3-day weekend but any amount of time in Paris is fine with me.

And all this is thanks to Asali who convinced me it's no point in delaying these kinds of things, who will be there at the same time so I'll meet up with her, and who obviously knows when is the right time to prompt people into such undertakings as I found a return plane ticket for quite a reasonable amount of money (and a wonderful hotel to stay in too, at least it seems so from their site).

I'll be sure to take a lot of photos and describe in detail the fun everyone will have. :)

Until then, some pics from the last time I was there:

  6. Doc Elly, it would be fun if more perfumistas could get together in Paris for some sniffing fun! :)

  8. anotherperfumeblog, we haven't yet planned exactly, but I definitely want to go to Sens Unique mentioned at Grain de Musc the other day and Palais Royal of course, and Asali has some favourite shops of her's so she's taking me to those. :)

  9. Thank you JoanElaine!
I'm a bit scared that I'm so happy anticipating this, it might not turn so great, but then, it's Paris - how can one not have a great time in Paris?!

  11. Thanks Olfactoria!
I'm hoping the Guerlain visit proves fruitful! :)

  13. So happy for you - you will have lost most of the tourists and the prices will have come off their summer spike. I am sure you will both have a blast, with lots of sniffing reports to follow!

  14. Oh boy, that could be a problem -- or do they let saucy little redheads run wild and loose in Paris these days? ;)

Love you, Ines, you lucky duck!

  15. Hmm, Vanessa, you think there won't be many tourists? I hope so. But as it's Advent, I was thinking people might visit...
Hope you're the one who's right though. ;)

  16. Suzanne, of course they let redheads roam the streets of Paris.
Paris actually makes them feel quite welcome. :D

I should get a picture of this redhead roaming the streets - one just for you (as proof of course). ;)

  17. I like your response, Ines! And I would love to have a picture of you roaming the streets (especially with Asali in tow - I've enjoyed reading her guest posts here).

  18. <3Thanks Suzanne <3, I'll make sure that Ines makes no mischief- without me that is ;-) About the not so lucky ducks, I plan for us to eat their livers and wash it down with champagne :-D

  19. LOL! That's a very good plan, Asali. If I'm ever in Paris, I think I'll call you up to see if you might be available to meet me there as a tour guide. (Or at least to point the way to a good foie gras.) <3

  20. It's so wonderful that you decided to go! I hope you'll have great time. I hope to go there one day as well though I'm a little afraid to travel to Paris while I do not speak French (do you?).
Do you already have in mind what you'll buy there or will you just go with a moment?

  21. Suzanne, from what I know of Asali and Paris, she makes a great guide. :)
My best is not getting lost anymore and navigating the streets with the help of a plan.

Oh, I can't wait for us to hit the perfume (and other) streets of Paris!

  22. Thanks Undina. :)
I speak French enough to ask for anything I might need and understand the reply. :)
My experience do far with the French has been whenever I tried to speak French with them, they switched to English. Makes it difficult to practice French...

So far, the only thing I decided is not to buy a perfume that is available in Zagreb niche stores, which still leaves enough to choose from. :) I'll decide after some extensive sniffing, but I do need to bring back a bottle of L'Eau de SL for my boyfriend who likes it a lot.
