My beach in Smokvica (well, not mine, the one I go to every day):
View from our terrace early in the morning:
The path I take when I go running (not that I managed a lot of that):
View from that path - the island of Krk on the other side:
One more from the running path:
Slightly better (closer) view from the path from Smokvica to Klenovica:

Love from Croatia! :)
Stunning pictures! Wow.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Croatian coast is a stunning place so it's not difficult to take nice photos.
DeleteOhhhhh, that blue water. Those blue skies!!:-) And the rustic beauty of your shoreline.
ReplyDeleteAbsolute heaven, Ines. I don't have to ask, I can see that you had a great vacation.
Yes, I did. And we had wonderful weather all 3 weeks. :)
DeleteGorgeous pictures of a gorgeous landscape. How wonderful to be able to take a real vacation in such a beautiful environment!
ReplyDeleteDoc Elly, I do feel grateful it's relatively easy for me to enjoy the beauty of Adriatic coast.
DeleteWhere I've been staying is only 2,5 hour drive from Zagreb.
Amazingly beautiful.. My mother was lucky enough to visit there - and can't wait to return...
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll follow in your mother's footsteps... ;)
DeleteBeautiful pictures! I'm glad you enjoyed your vacation.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to ask, does Smokvica stand for a fig tree and Klenovica - for a maple tree?
Ha, Undina, I didn't know, but yes, klen is a maple tree (I always imagine maple trees differently, I admit).
DeleteKlenovica means the place where those trees grow, while Smokvica means at the same time little fig and a little fig tree as the word for both is the same in Croatian (smokva).
Gorgeous pictures. This makes me want to visit Croatia!
ReplyDeleteThanks Natalie. :)
DeleteI would certainly recommend a visit to Croatia - especially during summer.
